When I first met Joie, we had an instant connection. Being a Realtor and after living in her home for over a decade, she knew what she wanted for her Kitchen both functionally and aesthetically. Her kitchen was your basic builder grade light wood cabinets with a nondescript tile floor with lots of angles. It was not designed to work well and lacked storage. The kitchen and family room had beautiful bones and interesting angles and we just needed to update it, add stacked cabinets to give it a more vertical look and replace it with new state of the art appliances. She had cabinets in the family room and we both wanted to mimic that in a way that the two rooms would become one. The kitchen was designed with a beaded inset recessed panel white stacked cabinet. Lighting was important and warm white LED’s were used both under counter and in the top glass cabinets. The cooktop became a Wolf Range…Who doesn’t love red knobs?? Counterspace was added where the double oven was previously. Gray 12 x 24 tiles in a Herringbone pattern made up the floor and the backsplash under the hood. The result was a functional kitchen which is light, airy, and a timeless classic look that will hold up over time.
